The principle and composition of a new type digital-analog combined radar wideband signal pulse compression system is illustrated in this paper, and the optimum designing plan is put forward after studying some key techniques involved in the paper and some circuits are achieved in practice. Furthermore, new ideas and methods for solving problems are presented based on former experiences after deeply theoretical analysis and demonstration.The new type digital-analog combined radar wideband signal pulse compression system introduced in this paper possesses unique designing idea, which combines each advantages of digital technique and analog technique, and the radar wideband signal (chirp signal) waveform design is achieved with DDS technique, the matching filter of wideband signal is achieved with analog technique i.e. SAW. Thus, the disadvantages such as bad waveform, unstable and difficult for adjustment of wideband generated by primary system are overcome. The system is stable and reliable, easy operation and upgrade with good waveform. The chirp signal achieved with DDS technique and pulse compression achieved with SAW technique are deeply studied in theoretical analysis, engineering research, design development, experimental verification and manufacture to achieve the technique improvement for primary system and increase each performance specification of the system effectively. That can be certain reference for new type radar wideband signal designing.
