With the opening up and development of China’s media industry, advertisementcompetition is becoming increasingly fierce than before. In order to win advantages and getfirst chances in competition, it is a necessity to develop an efficient and pragmaticadvertisement management system and to regulate advertising business process, so as toachieve the goal of advertisement. These are problems worthy to be comprehensively studied.By implementing advertisement management system, Liaoning Provincial TV Station, inwhich the author is working, has promoted the normalization and scientification of itsadvertising business, improved the management performance, and achieved very goodeconomic and social benefit. However, with the business volume increases, some issues arealso revealed.Currently, the existing issues with advertisement management system are summarized asfollows: advertisement video file storage mode is not reasonable, i.e. large volumes ofadvertisement video files are stored in the same server with the management system, bringingabout a series of issues. As advertisement video files increase day by day, issues caused bythis storage mode are more and more severe than before. In order to solve this problem,advertisement video files shall be moved out from the server, in which the advertisementmanagement system is deployed.The paper has applied computer knowledge learned by the author in working practices,and has discussed three technical plans to separate file system from managementsystem/website–network file system, cluster file system and server cluster. Moreover, inaccordance with the practical situation of the station, the paper also evaluated the feasibility ofthese plans. Eventually, based on the principle of doable technology and conforming to thepractical situation, the solution of dual-server structure was selected.The plan has used for reference the ideology of server cluster, and that the system iscomprised by advertisement server and video file server. The advertisement server is designedto handle advertisement operations. On the other hand, when advertisement videos are to beaccessed, it is the video file server’s duty to respond, so as to realize users’ operation uponvideo files. Video files are stored in video file server, under unified management. Meanwhile,inside the system, advertisement server and video file server are enabled to visit mutually.Outside of the system, a unified user operation interface is provided, so that users may evennot feel there are two different servers. Proved by the empirical analysis, the dual-serverstructural advertisement management system proposed by this paper has completed solved issues faced by current advertisement management system, with doable technology andeconomical efficiency.On this basis, the paper applied this proposal in design and development ofadvertisement management system, and has designed and realized a dual-server-basedadvertisement management system that is fit for advertisement business of LiaoningProvincial TV Station. The paper also conducted a demand analysis on this system, in which,the business and data process of this system were analyzed, system database was designed,the process was designed and functional modules were divided. Then, the system wasmaterialized by drawing support from Java-based Web system development technology (Jsptechnology, Struts2technology) and MySql database. In this section, system developmentenvironment, structure and design mode are introduced. The materialization method forsystem functional modules is explained. Furthermore, realization method for video filemanagement module is also focally demonstrated.After the dual-server-based advertisement management system was realized, the paperconducted a performance test on the system. Shown by the test result, the system has highresponse speed. Advertisement video files in the system are played smoothly. Compared withthe original system, the downloading and uploading rate were also greatly improved. It can beseen from the test result that, the advertisement management system designed and developedby this paper has solved the issues in the original system. Supported by the dual servers, usersare provided with better advertisement video management functions, having realized thedesign goal of the system.Even so, the advertisement management system designed in this paper still needs to befurther improved in function. In the next phase, we are to design and develop financialmanagement module for the advertisement management system, so as to realize acomprehensive management over advertisement business.
