Telecommucation Billing System Model is designed to solve the problems in the hard core of business supporting system-billing system.The concept of using the network to outline a framework for business supporting system. It contains a number of model:data model, interface and protocol models, processes and function model, network model. In the realization of part of the billing model, all communication between processes is based on UNIX IPC(interprocess communication) to realize information exchange between the various processes.All the interprocess communi-cation methods include:message queues, shared memory area, semaphores and so on. Current telecommunications billing model inter-process communication is mainly used System V version. These three means of communication is ongoing with the kernel that has always existed to re-bootstrap the kernel, or show up to remove the object. Since the early UNIX multiline development, it results in numerous version-s.And there are many differences between the various versions which bring to the software porting certain difficulty. We should know that a telecommunication is so large that if the soft cannot be ported and redevelopment will inevitably result in enormous costs.And System V version is a concrete realization of UNIX in Bell Labs.The existence of time is rather old.Although many systems support it, the interface is complex and the realization between different platforms has a slight difference (for example the implementation and limitations of fork).POSIX is proposed by the IEEE.It is a standard of portable operating system. Most UNIX has now achieved.Also It has the simple syntax, high portability, achieve the same in platforms.the POSIX message queues, semaphores and shared memory area continuous at least with kernel, and when to meet certain conditions can also be sustained with the file system that is IPC object has always existed to show up to remove the object. Even if the kernel to re-bootstrap the object is to maintain its value. This time we will use POSIX message queues, shared memory area and semaphores to communicate in the Billing model.During the research,first we research current telecommunications billing model’s frame,then design a simulate billing system.Last we test the POSIX IPC in the new system.
