The Synthetic Aperture Radar had been used in civil establishment, industrial production and many other domains widely. It has the characteristics of all-weather, day/night, long range and high-resolution. Conventional SAR works in pulse mode, which is usually a complex instrument, neither low cost nor compact. So,there is a growing interested in more compact and more cost-effective SAR. For the radar system with low transmitted power, the Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave(FMCW)radar system is generally compact and relatively cheap. The dechirp-on-receive technology is adopted in the receiving path,i.e., the echo is mixed by the transmitted signal to yield a beat signal with narrow bandwidth. The demands for video receiving channels, A/D samples and processing rate are not sever. FMCW SAR transmits signals in a long sweep equal to the pulse repetition interval, so the peak power is low, and the solid-state amplifier is sufficient. Furthermore, low cost makes it available in the civil market. Totally, FMCW SAR has many advantages, and the research on it has attracted increasing interests. There are three main parts represented in this thesis, the first is the introduction about the fundamental theory of FMCW. Then, with the theory of FMCW, we give the introduction of a project in detail, including the design and the results. Finally, the TFs DSP of8cores is recommended with the advantages of multi-cores and RTOS(Real Time Operation System).
