The development of short-wave channel simulation holds important researchful and practical values on short-wave communication system.The existing short-wave channel simulators are mostly based on the narrowband Watterson model,and it could not simulate the real short-wave channel well in wideband situation.Therefore there should be a wideband short-wave simulator to simulate the real short-wave channel effectively,and real-time is one of the most important requirements.This paper focus on the real-time to make the process easy to realize on the basis of the ITS model,simulate the average delay,delay spreading,Doppler frequency shift,Doppler expansion,loss and additive noise.These job complete the core design of the wideband short-wave channel simulation system.This paper consider the ionospheric reflection of short-wave channel and the influence on the data transfer,focus on the following work according to the requirements of lab project:1)Introduce the relevant concept and background of short-wave channel,the development process of the short-wave channel simulation system.2)Study the physical characteristics and structure of ionized layer,and conclude the changing process of the signal in this sky-wave medium.3)Study the existing typical short-wave channel models including the classic narrowband Watterson model and the wideband ITS model which is the base reference of this paper.Analyze the handling of the ionized reflection layer's statistical characteristics.Confirm the important parameters and indexes of the channel model.4)Point out the area for improvement on the basis of the existing short-wave channel models to meet the real-time and reconstructed requirements.Design the whole system that could configure the parameters including delay,frequency shift,frequency expansion,loss and additive noise.Provide the specific algorithm and testing in MATLAB.5)Introduce the DSP hardware TMS320C6416,and the software environment CCS.Focus on the implement method and process of the model algorithm which has been confirmed before.
