Three kinds of single pulse sum-difference angle measurements methods,including Symmetric invert method, direct weighting method and double-point method,are analysised in this dissertation.For some type radar, The performances of the three methods are compared, andthen the optimal angle measurement method is applied to the engineering project. Basedon DSP,sum-difference angle measurements methods are used to realize sum-differencemuti-beamforming, which can be used for muti-target tracking. Firstly, digitalbeamforming is introduced, including array signal model, digital beamforming, andsum-difference beamforming. Secondly, for the linear array the theory analysis and thesimulation of the sum-difference methods are given in detail;also for the planar array,simulation results and performance analysis show that the direct weighting method hassome advantages,such as wide angle measuring range and high accuracy,compared withother two methods. Finally, used for the engineering project, the hardwareimplementation of direct weighting sum-difference multi-beamforming is introduced,including the whole hardware structure and the hardware implementation of directweighting sum-difference muti-beamforming; Finally the hardware in-the-loopsimulation results show that the angle measurement accuracy of direct weightingmethod is better than other two methods.
