With the support of the high-speed information network, the operational mode ofmodern radar jamming system has been developed from the traditional point to pointcountermeasure into system to system. When facing the complex, changeable, density,fast changing threat radar environment, few, fighting separately jamming resources hasbeen unable to meet the current and future needs of the battlefield. The off-board activejamming is a kind of active jamming device that its location is outside of the object tobe protected, also in the vicinity of the target to be protected. The off-board activejamming is one of the important members in jamming resources family. This papermainly studies the system composition, working mode and network problems of theoff-board active jamming under the support of information network.This paper firstly elaborates the basic reconnaissance and jamming resources in theoff-board active jamming network. Analyses the directed jamming resources using thevoltage controlled oscillator (VCO) as the jamming signal generating source, repeaterjamming resources (RFM) with direct forwarding and store-and-forward threat radarsignals, synthetic jamming resources(DJS) using digital synthesis of variousinterference signals. Then, the operational use of the off-board active jamming isresearched, including its system composition, operation mode, etc. As follows thesimulation analysis of off-board jamming protection zone and how the active jammingdecoys anti-ship missile are given. Finally the paper discusses the off-board jammingnetworking strategies, including network topology, the required data link and how todistribute the jamming resources effectively.
