Power Line Communication(Power Line Communication, PLC) is a kind ofcommunication that use power line to achieve information transmission.In recent years,power line communication technology is developing rapidly, especially the suddenemergence of a new generation of high-speed power line communication technology.Itmakes the demand for home high-speed data transmission through power lines beachieved. This paper mainly focuses on the releted standards of power linecommunication network,and analyzes the security problems of the standards andproposes solutions.First of all, this paper briefly introduces the architecture, function and reletedstandards of PLC network.Then analyzes the security features of PLC network,focuseson the analysis of the encryption algorithms and authentication protocols involved inIEEE P1901standard, and find out the flaw that it cannot prevent denail of service inthe4-Way Handshake process in P1901standard. By analyzing the whole process, somesolutions are put forward to improve the original4-Way Handshake process, thesolutions are: reuse of SNonce, encrypt ANonce, encrypt MAC address,2-WayHandshake, based on the digital envelope, based on the digital signature and digitalenvelope. Finally, a detail analysis of these solutions is carried out, the analysis givesthe advantages and disadvantages of the solutions in different environments.The main purpose of this paper is that propose solutions through the analysis of thesecurity problems in the releted standards of PLC network to improve the standards. Itis believed to be valuable and meaningful to the rapid development of power linecommunication.
