The US Military standard MIL-STD-188-141A is much characteristic and authoritative among the standards of ALE(automatic link establishment). The standard prescribes ALE should provide communication link from High Frequency radio station to other station and network, and should operate automatically without human intervention. ALE system military standards include a highly robust signaling system, a extendable protocol system, multiple address modes, multiple RTCE(Real-time Channel Estimation) modes and open system structure, in order to offer advanced HF communication network function. The author's main work lies on the implementation of baseband procedure hardware according to the Military Standard. This paper emphasizes in the estimation of LQA(Link Quality Analysis) parameters during ALE, and specify synchronization method during ALE. Finally the paper narrate the design scheme and implementation method of HF radio station.
