With the general features of format larger and difficult to digitize, the large formatscanner is always designed for special needs. It is mainly used to implement the digitalof some special fields such as military affairs, mapping, architecture and so on. For thelimits of optical width on single CCD, it is particularly important to study and developmulti-CCD technology. Multi-CCD scanner will increase the scan breadth, improve thescan speed and scan precision farther more.The thesis whose research object is multi-CCD scanner, analysis the traditionalmulti-CCD structure, presents a new multi-CCD scanner data collection structure whichis called two layer multi-CCD structures based on linux. By adding two layer ofembedded control system between CCD controller and PC, the two layer multi-CCDscanner data collection system is ingeniously resolve the problem that multi-CCD worksimultaneity, image combining and cutting, image data storage and transmission, and soon. The two layer multi-CCD scanner data collection system truly achieves imagemulti-CCD parallel scaning, parallel data accessing, and fundamentally improves thescan speed. This paper detailedly discusses the design concept, the process on systemand the design and the implementation of the scanner driver base on Linux,and port Linux to PC/104.
