The purpose of the thesis is the application of stereo vision technology on measurement of an actual hoop-column deployable antenna structure, which is then to obtain3D coordinates of the antenna. The precision of the antenna structure will be reduced significantly as the antenna is made up of lightweight flexible material and is easily deformed by various external factors, so it must be measured.First, by generalizing the stereo vision theory and analyzing the structure of antenna, two kinds of schemes which are named the overall measurement and the data registration measurement are proposed.Second, the overall measurement of the antenna structure is implemented. For the overall measurement scheme, we prefer the wide-angle camera to the ordinary camera to get the image, since the size of antenna is relatively large and it is not able to get the whole image in focus by using the ordinary camera. By studying of the calibration method of wide-angle camera, we get calibrating parameters. Then the antenna structure can be measured based on stereo vision.Finally, for the data registration measurement scheme, we perform the measurement of the antenna structure based on the principle of data registration with coded points, while the Rodrigues parameters are introduced to describe the transition matrix.This paper studies the measurement method of antenna structure based on stereo vision, and takes experiments on an actual antenna structure, which has a certain reference value for the measurement and analysis of the antenna structure.
