In recent years, with the rapid development of city construction and more complex traffic road. People on the vehicle to simple operation, functional completeness has put forward higher requirements, While the GPS vehicle navigation system can accurate planning reasonable path, avoid the traffic stress, so that people quickly reach the destination. It is great convenience for people to travel.Compared with foreign countries, the GPS (Global Positioning System) navigation technology in Japan and Europe and the United States has more than10years of the development history, and made great gains a success. But at present, the GPS technology is relatively fall behind in native, according to the research conditions of our own, the GPS vehicle navigation technology have a certain theory mean and market value in line with China’s national conditions.This paper mainly studies an car GPS embedded navigation system based the windows CE6.0operation system, and mainly include:Firstly, introduce the origin, background and research meaning of the topic, and then analyze the current research status of GPS navigation technology at home and abroad, and summarize the principle and features of the GPS system.and illuminate the sections of the structure.Secondly, from the characteristics and application of WinCE system to start. Then introduce WinCE system development history,make further analyze the architecture of WinCE6.0system and the module structure, and the embedded development process.Thirdly, according to the development process, the BSP design is elaborated from structure to development flow. And put forward the design of the hardware platform, and set the compiling and debugging software environment.Fourthly, as the important part, the WinCE system driver model architecture and interrupt processing is analyzed in detail. Finally, focus on accomplish of the serial port driver and capacitive touch screen driver. Through the design flow chart, achieve to program the key functions.and verify the drives program to be accurate and steady on the hardware platform. The expected results is achieved preliminary.
