Application Research Of The Radar Target Tracking Algorithm

According to the specific requiremnts of a radar target tracking system,we developapplication software of different target tracking algorithms and make trackingperformance test.Firstly, elements of target tracking, including system model of the target, hybridcoordinate systems and their conversion rules, are introduced.Secondly, according to the specific requirements of the tracking system, radartarget tracking application softwares that are based onα-β filtering algorithm,α-β-r filtering algorithm and Kalman filtering algorithm are developed,respectively. Performance of the different algorthms, including tracking error ofangle,error of anglar velocity, tracking stationarity and computing time,are also testedand analysised.Finally, based on the above work, further study of the residual based adaptiveα-βalgorithm is made, application software realizing duplex residual based adaptive α-β algorithm is developed.Practical tracking performance test is also conductedand the result shows that this algorithm is more sutitable for this system than othertracking algorithms.
