As a new subject and research field, multi-sensor data fusion becomes widely applied in military and civil uses, and the study of multi-target tracking technology based on multi-sensor data fusion is popular. Combined with the project of single-sensor multi-tracking, an adaptiveα-βfilter in spherical coordinate is adopted in this paper, this filter satisfies the real-time and tracking precision demand, also, the hardware and software structure of multi-target tracking, which are worth referring, are presented. Then the application of multi-sensor data fusion in multi-target tracking is discussed, especially focusing on multi-sensor track association and track fusion. Based on fuzzy track association, a flexible algorithm is proposed, which reduces the times of computation greatly. By the use of track distributed fusion system structure, an adaptive weight estimation of track fusion algorithm based on the module of minimum square error is presented. Simulation results show that the algorithm is effective and the performance is superior to local tracks, even when the local track is bad or out of work.
