Research And Implementation Of Object-oriented Mechanism In BREW Platform

Object-oriented technology as a mainstream current software developmenttechnology, has been widely used in the software industry. BREW is a commoninterface platform for wireless data application development and implementationreleased by QUALCOMM company. It provides an efficient, low-cost, scalableapplication execution environments. Currently, using the BREW platform for mobileterminal application development by process-oriented development method. How to useobject-oriented technology into BREW platform, is the focus of this paper.The research object of this paper is the implementation of object-orientedmechanism in BREW platform. Firstly, discusses the advantages about the combinationof BREW and object orientation, analyzes some technology about BREW andobject-oriented technology. Then analyzes the BREW development process-orientedapproach of traditional, and on this basis demonstrates the the feasibility about usingobject-oriented mechanism in BREW platform. Then designing object-orientedmechanism on the whole, analysising and designing three aspects of encapsulationmechanism, inheritance mechanism and polymorphism in BREW platform in detail.Finally, with an application instance, achieving the object-oriented mechanism inBREW platform specifically. From the implementation of verification shows that theobject-oriented mechanism used in BREW platform proposed by this paper provides anew practical solution for the BREW mobile terminals.
