Design Of Main Controller Of Color LED Printer

The LED printing technology is one kind of emerging colored lattice printingtechnology, has the merits of speed to be quicker, the reliability to be higher, the thirddimension to be better, the volume to be smaller and the environment-protective to bebetter and so on, obtained the rapid development in the short several years.This paper introduced the dynamic development and outstanding characteristic ofthe LED printer, had expounded the LED printer’s working principle. According to theperformance requirements of the color LED printer, the overall design of the printer’smain controller is given out. On the basis of grasping the composition and workingprinciple of the LED print head, implemented the LED print head control and completedthe PXA270-based hardware design of the main controller through the testing andanalysis of the LED print head. Because of the real-time requirements for print dataprocessing and transmission and the fact that operating system does not meet therequirements of the situation, building the job program directly instead of using theoperating system, had designed the main controller’s dedicated Bootloader and controlprocesses base on PXA270, which meet the real-time requirements.Project has passed the acceptance of experts. Test results show that the design ofthe LED printer’s main controller meets the design requirements.
