The city video monitor system,which is critical for protecting cities and the citizens,is important for keeping the country’s stabilization.With the performance of the policy of constructing safe cities,more and more cities are deploying video monitor systems.Secure video accessing gateway,which is key part of the whole video monitor system,needs to be taken care of in emergengy.In this paper,we presented a secure video access solution based on RSA digital certificate after a deep survey and research on the problem of video access. We designed the architecture and main modules of the secure video access gateway. The police’s RSA digital certificate,which is used for high-level certificating,and physical isolation gap,dynamic link library, protocol analyzing white list and some other key techonologies are applied.Access of outer video resource is active.We made a detailed design and implementing of main functional modues of front-gateway,back-gateway,gateway communication and gateway management.We also implemented full functions of operation management,system monitoring,logging, alerting, reporting forms and system configuration.There is no doubt that the technologies of RSA digital certificate, isolation gap,protocol white list are greately more advanced than the similar security products. With this gateway,it becomes quite convenient to access outer video resources while keeping the safety and isolation of inner network.The gateway was implemented with greate reliability,scalability,maintainability and standardization.The test result showed that the effects in funtion and performance expected were well realised.It has been successfully deployed to many cities,improved working efficiency and won repute from releated leaders.
