At present, the vast majority of parking are man-management. In order to adapt to the development of modern society and implementation of the practical application, the parking intelligent subject has become a research focus in recent years.The parking system has developed the basic realization of the purpose of the intelligent parking management, but also needs human transceiver IC card, car parking fees, and provide users with information consulting of parking spaces. On this basis, the design, both from the security and intelligence to improve, proposed the solution of intelligent parking management based on ZigBee wireless sensor networks and license plate recognition technology.This solution takes the information processing and storage module as the centric part, automatic vehicle identification, parking information query, environmental information collection, real-time video surveillance system modules as sources of information collection, and parking information module as the terminal for parking information output. The system achieves vehicle detection and identification, vehicle location and trajectory tracking, parking information publish, security and exception alerts and automatic toll collection with the technology of image acquisition and processing, vehicle classification, license plate recognition, ZigBee ad hoc networks, Qt, FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array),etc, improves the intelligence of the system and strengthen the security features of the parking.The introduction of vehicle type classification and vehicle license plate identification technology can achieve automatic identification of vehicles entering and leaving, and to improve the intelligence of the system. The introduction of ZigBee-based wireless sensor network technology can achieve real-time detection of the state of the environment in the car park, as well as the detection of the position of the vehicle, and to improve the security of the system.This paper presents the hardware and software of the intelligent parking management solution design and implementation, highlights the vehicle identification technology based on vehicle type classification and license plate identification, completed the modules testing of the system, and the ultimate online debugging results indicate the program has reached the expected design goals.
