Large scientific instruments is the necessary means and ways to obtain the information ofresearching modern scientific, and it is the basic tool to understand the material world effectivelyfor human being. With the rapid development of China’s science and technology, the scientificresearch and technological innovation is increasingly depending on the use of the large-scalescientific instruments. Ownership and popularization rate of large scientific instruments has becomethe basic elements and the premise to promote scientific development. In recent years, China hasincreased investment in science technology industry, through funding a number ofscience-technology plan and project, many domestic universities and research institutes havepurchased a large number of scientific instruments. On the whole, China already has a considerablenumber of large scientific instruments, and has increased year by year. But the problem ofinstruments resources are unevenly distributed and Instruments resources sharing degree is not highstill exists.Because of the large scientific instruments resource is precious and rare; to improve the rateand popularity of the large scientific instruments can greatly improve the use value of the largescientific instruments. In order to solve this problem, the project team design and achieve alarge-scale scientific instruments remote sharing system, this system has the characteristics andadvantages of booking daily management activities, video sharing from multiple perspectives,audio and video interaction and suitable for a wide area network bandwidth consumption. In orderto realize the design content of this thesis, mainly realizes the following aspects of the researchdesign:(1) Study of Web application development technologies; build B/S system with MVC mode whichbased on Struts construction and JSP technology. Research on database technology; design anddevelop database with the conceptual design, logical design and physical design of database; buildthe structure of table and the significance of each table’s field in the database. Instrumentreservation and information management module is one of the core modules of the system, including instrument booking, booking information view; open by appointment time management,etc. To achieve the instrument reservation by user applications and administrators audit theappointment information.(2) Research on the design and use of ActiveX control technology; using ActiveX controls toachieve the basic module of audio and video sharing subsystem in the system. ActiveX control isresponsible for completing the underlying audio data, video coding and transmission, using Webpage to load the control on the client side, using vc9.0software environment to load the control onthe server side, making the design level of distributed system more remarkable, reducing themaintenance cost, convenient for customers to use.(3) The principle and implementation of the UDP network through technology. Solve the problemof point-to-point directly passing audio data between different internal LAN in the sharing audiosubsystem. In audio sharing subsystem which realized by using UDP network transmissiontechnique, when the node more arise, to reduce the pressure of the bandwidth on the server and t heconsumption of the computing resources, every node between the audio data is directly sent to theother node, the server side is responsible for scheduling control command.(4) The main functions of the system are tested. The test result show that this system can realize theinstruments online appointment, watch the instrument operation and interact with operators of audio.This system has been made in Beijing scientific instrument demonstration center. But the overallperformance of the system is not perfect, the proposed changes and development of the next stepcan consider a role to design the database, in the aspect of interaction into text communicationplatform, improve the system scalability.
