With the rapid development of the logistics industry and the wholesale and retail enterprises, the distribution center has become a hub for links of the logistics supply chain, where operating efficiency issues directly affect the end of the sales of the wholesale and retail enterprises. How to maximize rationalization of distribution center processes at the company’s existing conditions is to use a very important method of computer simulation, expecially, Flexsim simulation software dedicated to logistics, manufacturing, and other discrete systems. It can accurately simulate the operation processes in distribution center from which We can identify problems and find solutions. Some of the basic theory of the distribution center is combined with visual simulation technology-the Flexsim. Reasonably improving distribution center processes has been studied with the system simulation technology in order to achieve the overall operating efficiency of the distribution center.MaQun distribution center as part of Suguo Supermarket Co., Ltd., is the object of this paper.According to the reality of the MaQun DC. Improvements are made on replenishment,picking and Cross-docking processes in the existing workflow processes. And Flexsim system simulation technologythe is used to analyze the improvement program. The optimal scheme is obtained under different simulation conditions.First, the paper introduces the background and significance of the study, collecting some of the basic theory of the development of distribution center and the application of Flexsim in the logistics industry. Then the real processes in the Suguo MaQun distribution center are introduced and theoretically analyzed. Some problems on replenishment, picking and Cross-docking processes are found which result in many times-cargo handling, lower overall operating efficiency and lower equipment utilization.Secondly, based on the principles of demand, turnover and the integrated principle in the theory of picking layout, part of commodities on circulation in the Suguo MaQun distribution centers are classified. The relevant picking strategies are used to re-layout part of the existing picking area of MaQun distribution center. Then, three alternative optimization schemes are given in this paper about the picking process in Suguo MaQun DC. They are simulated through the Flexsim software in order to obtain the optimal solution in different order scale. Finally, a lot of improved schemes on cross-docking are formulated in accordance with the existing resources of Suguo Maqun distribution center in this thesis. They are simulated through the Flexsim software. And Efficiency to cost ratio of each scheme is obtained through the analysis of simulation results. Maqun distribution center can choose the scheme of the largest efficiency cost ratio, or they can choose other schemes achieving a certain level of efficiency goals and cost requirements according to the actual situation.In general, this paper provides a theoretical basis to solve the problems of optimization working process for Suguo Maqun distribution center and play a certain reference role to the related research.
