WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) is an integrated intelligent information system whichhas such functions as information acquisition, information transmission and informationprocessing. It is one of the most promising technologies and has a wide application prospect.At present, applications for WSN have been envisioned for a wide range of areas. Theseinclude, but are not limited to, the following: environment monitoring (e.g., traffic, habitat,security, etc.), infrastructure protection (e.g., power grids and water distribution), fireprevention, agriculture, health care, chemical plumes tracking, building monitoring or control,warehouse management, smart transportation, and context-aware computing (e.g., smarthomes and responsive environments) as well as industrial sensing, diagnostics and processcontrol, biomedical sensor engineering, water and waste management, military applications,and so on.In most application of WSN, the acquired information is useful only when their locationsare known. Hence, localization plays one of the most important roles in WSN. IACT(Improved Alternating Combination Trilateration) deduces the complexity of ACT(Alternating Combination Trilateration) by its both using tan value instead of radian of anangle as weight and using only m highest weight apexes to form its weight polygon. ACTBCS(Alternating Combination Trilateration Based on Circle-Selection) reduces the complexity ofIACT from n3order to n2order. However, the complexity of ACTBCS is still high. Therefore,ACTBSW (Alternating Combination Trilateration Based on Sliding-Window) is proposed inthis paper. Compared with ACTBCS, ACTBSW selects high weighed triangle only by usingsliding window. Therefore, it reduces its calculation overhead greatly without affecting itslocalization accuracy. However, ACTBSW selects high weight triangle only by using slidingwindow, a selecting error which has bad impact to localization accuracy may occur. Besides,there is a sorting in ACTBSW, which would waste much time and energy when number of thesides is large. Therefore, ACTBG (Alternating Combination Trilateration Based on Grouping)is also proposed in this paper. Compared with ACTBSW, ACTBG selects high weighedtriangle by using grouping instead of sliding window, and totally eliminates the selecting error.Therefore, it improves its localization accuracy without affecting its calculation overhead.
