At present, the generating methods of Terahertz radiation source generally havehigh cost, high technical requirement, expensive equipment and other issues, whichlimit the application and development of Terahertz radiation source. Therefore, a newgenerating method of Terahertz radiation source has been put forward in thisdissertation which bases on Sonoluminescence and Acoustoluminescence as the startingpoint; A high-power Class-D ultrasound power amplifier has been designed to drive theultrasonic transducer for the related experiments and researches of Sonoluminescenceand Acoustoluminescence.In this dissertation, the various types of linear power amplifier and switchingpower amplifier has been introduced, those advantages and disadvantage has beenanalyzed, and three modulating methods of Class-D power amplifier has been comparedfirstly. On this basis, the structure has been put forward which based on self-oscillationtechnology and delta-sigma modulating principle used in this dissertation. It not onlysaves costs but also reduces the distortion by adopting the structure. This structuremainly includes:2ndorder integrator constituted by operational amplifier, A/Dconstituted by inverter, gate drive circuit, bridge circuit, feedback loop, and low passfilter. Those sub-modules have been designed and simulated detailedly in thedissertation; and full-bridge has been adopted in the power output level which greatlyimproves the output power. In addition, over-voltage protection circuit, over-currentprotection circuit, the sampling and displaying of input power and output power byusing AVR single chip microcomputer have been designed in this dissertation.Eventually, through debugging the circuit and experiment, the maximum outputpower can achieve more than1000W at40kHz.
