With the rapid development of computer technology, especially in extensive application of database technology and computer network technology, the number of data has dramatically increased in enterprise.It will help enterprises make better decision if the vast amount of data are fully used, deeply analyzed, and researched, which can find its rules and patterns so as to gain the necessary knowledge. Simple online analytical processing and dynamic report generation can not fully meet the needs of business decision-makers. So the problem for the business to build a data mining system becomes a top priority, This is proposed to build on the basis of the data warehouse data mining systems.Although there are many studies on data mining theory, few has proposed methods of data mining project development information, So the paper provide a more systematic data mining project development process model for data mining technology to provide methodological guidance to business areas. Base on the approach of project development of data mining, to apply the technology of data mining into consumer behavior analysis system on campus is the theme of this paperThe study paper introduces detail the relevant domain knowledge, and analyzes a typical application process of the data mining in customer relationship management system, and contrasts several basic data mining technologies and application characteristics of the model of development process, and divide data mining system from application point, combine it with project management, and provides implementation process model of data mining project-based, divide data mining project development process into project planning, mining preparation, mining and project evaluation stage of the four large, detailed and clear all stages of their specific tasks and goals.From the engineering point of view, determine the specific implementation process of data mining project by analyzing data mining system of the present, and to apply it to consumer behavior analysis system of campus, and then fed back to application of theory and improve the theory. It has some theoretical and practical value.and in the implementation process of Mining project, the traditional K-means clustering algorithm was appropriate improvements it enhances the efficiency of mining.
