Binocular stereo vision system is currently an important research field ofcomputer vision. With reducing production coststhe of webcams, it is convenient toget a binocular stereo vision system using two webcams based on CMOS ImageSensor. This will further promote the human-computer interaction systems, computergames and interactive3D display and etc. Therefore, CMOS image sensors for dual3D visual image data acquisition system has important theoretical significance andpractical value, and has broad application prospects.Dual CMOS image sensor3D visual image data acquisition system generally is touse two cameras simultaneously to capture two digital images of the same targetobject from different angles. And then the3D coordinates of the target object will bedisplayed based on the optical parallax principle theory. This thesis analyzes andsummarizes the domestic and international researchers’ achievements about stereovision. Then, combined with the demand for practical applications, it focus on the keyissues of3D Image and Vision Acquisition System based on Bi-CMOS Sensors. Majorelements are following:Firstly, a solution of3D Image and Vision Acquisition System Based onBi-CMOS Sensors has been proposed after comparing the features of CMOS webcamand CCD camera. It is based on CPLD, DSP(JPEG coding chip)and Bi-CMOS Sensorsand carried out a detailed system analysis of software and hardware, its design andimplementation. One of the key technologies is how to obtain parallaxthree-dimensional image signal in real time. That is the two image signal channels fromBi-CMOS Sensors are converted to one synthetic image signal channel with parallaxafter choice and interpolation algorithms through the image processing chip (CPLD)logically. Then, to reduce the redundancy of image data and transfer costs, in a digitalimage processing chip that synthesized and three-dimensional parallax image signal isreal-time compressed in high speed. Lastly, analysis the horizontal error of3D visualimages based on Bi-CMOS image sensor and proposed some algorithms to reduce thaterror, improved three-dimensional parallax image’s stereoscopic display effect.
