Video monitoring system is widely used in many areas and becomes an indispensable part insecurity system for its instuition, accuratement, in time and abundantment. From the visual Angle,the high-definision video has become a tendency, which provides a considerate value in audio andvideo acquisition system, image processing, audio and video compression as well as decompressiontechnology research..This paper based on the TMS320DM368and utilized MT90P31chips(which used COMS asinterface) to realize the fuction in video acquisition system. In addition, it uses FM1188chips toeliminate audio echo. Spacifically, Leonardo Da Vinci TMS320DM368is on the foundation of thetechnology of digital media audio/video chip system and the usage of ARM926EJ–STM askernel. As for the TMS320DM368, it uses two video image coprocessor, which based on thefoundation of linux operating system.Firstly, this paper aims to introduce hardware circuit in Video monitoring system. secondly, thispaper tries to describes the building process of software platform in system, for instance, U-Boot,Linux kernel and the file system. Thirdly, it elaborates the image processing technology and audio/video decoding algorithm. Last but not least, this article illustrates the audio and videotransmission in the network, which on the bases of real-time transport protocol to transmit.By the transplantation of kernel system, we can attain the function in video, audio and networkcard driver in this system. Additionally, throungh the design of application layer software, we canget the function in video monitoring. In this system, Audio module uses the V4L2interface whilethe audio module utilizes the ALSA interface which both provides by the linux. After that, throughcompression treated, audio and video data transmittes to the Internet through the real-timetransmission agreement.Lastly, by using a web browser, we can see the monitor screen which is clear as well assatisficatible.
