Process Management For Complex Product Development Project

The complex products’development process is complex. On one hand, its develop-ment process involves many professions and fields,such as machinery, electronics, autom-ation, control and pneumatic, etc, and even the tiniest component is likely to involve mul-tiple disciplines; on the other hand, complex product development needs go through many stages, such as conceptual design, detailed design, analysis, manufacturing, assembly, test-ing and maintenance, etc. Therefore, how to manage complex product development effici-ently, with high quality and low cost is one of the key problems.According to the characteristics of complex product development process, based on the project as the guidance, the author introduces the concept of workflow, studies work-flow modeling and management and designs process management system for developing complex product development.Firstly, based on the introduction of workflow technology, workflow concepts and the reference model for workflow management system, this paper gives the overall structure of Project-Process Management for Complex Products(PPM4CP), and illustrates the chart.Secondly, in the framework of the overall structure, the design of PPM4CP is described in detail, including:the development framework designed to use, database design, detailed design of process definition subsystem, form subsystem and process monitoring and management platform.Thirdly, the paper conducts a study on rights management of PPM4CP system and other key issues about the form integration and sub-workflow, and gives effective methods on the design and implementation. In order to meet needs of the practical application of the system, this paper introduces the task of conventional push-pull distribution method, and also gives the solution of task assignment and countersigned and on this basis proposes task assignment recommended by the Intelligent Agent to improve the intelligence of task allocation; taking into account the practical application of the dynamic nature of the project, the article gives a corresponding flow algorithm about changing the task duration dynamically.Finally, this article has introduced the PPM4CP system to realize in detail, illustrating the specific features of the system and the using process to verify that the overall structure and design of PPM4CP mentioned in this article is correct.
