Germplasm Repository Nursery Performance Appraisal System Design And Construction

Jiangsu agricultural germplasm protection and utilization platform is designed to promote efficiency of agricultural germplasm resources conservation, sharing and rational use. We have built23provincial agricultural germplasm bases and granted the plate since2005. In order to strengthen management and make scientific assessment of the germplasm bases, performance appraisal is gradually carrying out as an effective management approach. As the various germplasm bases locate in a dozen cities, districts and counties, the traditional assessment methods using paper-based materials spend a lot of manpower and resources and are very inefficient. So now we must quickly establish an efficient, networked, fair and open germplasm base performance management system.This paper analyzes the system requirements and describes the overall system architecture. We conduct a detailed modeling analysis of the system, including use case modeling, domain analysis and application analysis, and we analyze the system’s functional requirements, static structure, interaction models in detail using a variety of UML diagrams, such as Use Case Diagram, Class Diagram, Activity Diagram, State Diagram, Collaboration Diagram, Sequence Diagram, etc. Meanwhile, we conduct a database conceptual design using E-R diagram and represent database model diagram combined with conversion between UML model and relational database. Then we describe the overall implementation architecture of the system and the layered architecture design. Finally, based on Microsoft ASP.NET technology, we implement Jiangsu Germplasm Base Performance Management System (JGBPMS) which is B/S structural and developed using Visual Studio2005and SQL Server2005.
