With the rapid development of the domestic auto industry, GPS car navigation systems are more widely used for car users with a great convenience. GPS car navigation system integrates navigation and entertainment in one integrated solution. ARM11-based processor and Microsoft operating systems WINCE6.0navigation system not only has high stability and maneuverability, but also has great value and great market potential. But the development of navigation system has many bottlenecks:the choice of hardware platform, GPS precise positioning and integrated multimedia player. In this paper, these problems, combined with GPS navigation and positioning technology, was proposed based on an embedded ARM11platform navigation system development program. Focus on the following three parts:1, GPS navigation system architecture. Through the development and design of vehicle navigation systems analysis, given the system’s hardware and software architecture; for the navigation system functions to achieve the goal, described navigation system composed of modules.2, WINCE6.O-driven design. WINCE6.0driven architecture through the in-depth analysis, to further deepen the understanding of the system, so do the comprehensive design of the drive.3.UI interface integration. UI interface on the market by understanding, adding their own unique elements, design your own UI.Based on all of the above research results, through the design of the navigation plate and base plate of experiments, the experimental results and the experimental performance parameters. The end of the article, a summary of the system, pointing out the inadequacies of the system, an improved method of and prospects for future development.
