Servo system is widely used in various fields of industrial production, and it has various kinds and different functions. The operation state of servo system has directly influence on the whole system, so the functional test for servo system is very necessary. The measurement and control device provides a good condition when the servo system is working. The general measurement and control device is directed at one type system, it cannot be applied in other occasions. So designning a measurement and control device of servo system suitable for variety occasions has very important practical significance. This device has functions including testing, analysis and display.In this paper, a design solution of measurement and control device for servo system based on ARM is proposed. This device adopts the32-bit embedded processor S3C2410as the core control unit. There are communication interfaces including RS485. CAN and16bit parallel interface and human-computer interaction interfaces including LCD. USB and keyboard. And it’s able to meet the testing demand of the majority Digital Servo System. Meanwhile, in order to test analog servo system, we use the CAN bus expand an angle conversion board. Embedded Linux system used as the system software platform, and takes advantage of powerful graphics interface Qt/Embedded to complete the software design. It can transmit the typical test signal (step, velocity, sinusoidal) to detect dynamic and static characteristic of servo system, and draw out the waveform curve of instruction, position and error, with friendly man-machine interface and complete data processing ability.The experimental results show that this device can meet the servo system test requirements. It has characteristics such as a variety of communication interfaces, small volume, convenient operation and powerful functions. In conclusion, the device we designed can be applied in a variety of digital and analog servo system testing occasions.
