That firefighters’protective clothing which can’t acquire real-time information stay at functional level can’t meet the need of emergency information management.With the development of smart textiles,smart textiles for firefighters are imperative.Keeping WSN and MEMS as core technology,several innovative information technologies are applied to firefighters’protective clothing,real-time environmental information and firefighters’position information acquired can be transmitted to fire engine command system.Smart textiles system for firefighters includes information acquisition subsystem, short-range wireless communication subsystem, UI and study on Multi-source information fusion processing in this paper. Fire source temperature is measured by infra-red thermometer and ambient temperature and relative humidity are measured by humidity and temperature sensor in the information acquisition subsystem. Firefighters’ position information will be measure by barometric altimeter enhanced GPS integrated position.Arduino Fio is used as control module.Adopting infra-red thermometer to measure fire source temperature is put forward for the first time. ZigBee is adopted in the short-range wireless communication subsystem.Mesh structure used to construct network is configured by X-CTU which is easy and convenient. UI is designed by Labview.Waveform and data can be read in a direct and visual way. Alarm is also displayed.Tests of each module and the entire system have shown that designed system in this paper can implement acquisition environmental information and position information,transmitting this to fire engine command system through WSN,and real-time displaying this in the form of wave and text. It has almost reached the goal set before. According to practical application of the fire, three alarm levels are pointed out to joint decision through analyzing logical relationship of statistical hypothesis test functions of all environmental information parameter so as to realize multi-source information fusion. These algorithms provide fundamental basis for the design of decision-making system. Through simulation and analysis, result shows improved kalman filtering algorithm of barometric altimeter enhanced GPS integrated position distinctly improves vertical positioning accuracy.
