Computer technology and communication technology develop very fast, but sensor technology fails to keep up with the speed. The fast development of automatic control system needs digitized、intellectualized and standardized sensors. In order to achieve intelligent functions of the sensor and establish smart sensor system, it is the inevitable trend for the sensor which to overcome its own shortcomings and achieve high stability, high reliability, high-resolution and high adaptive capacity. Intelligent sensor system combined by intelligent sensor and micro processor is a powerful software advantage in the conditions on the basis of the minimum hardware given sensor intelligent features.In this paper, the least squares method and experimental methods are used to establish a functional relationship between the measured distance and the eddy current micro-displacement sensor output voltage, and we give the error between the functional relationship and the experimental data. This paper also analyzed error from repeatability and hysteresis, finally, The total measurement accuracy of the eddy current sensor is given at the end of the paper. This article also eddy current sensor and microcontroller combined, in the system we will curve fitting equation stored in the AT89C51microcontroller, combined sample and hold circuit, AD converter circuit, alarm circuit, reset circuit, key selection circuit, circuits and peripheral circuits we design a smart set of eddy current displacement sensor measurement system. System software is completed by the Keil C51programming.
