In recent years, vehicle technology becomes a hot research field on intelligenttransportation systems. This paper did an intensive study regard the issue of affected vehiclecan’t be informed in time when emergency happens. And it did a thorough analysis about thisproblem. An intelligent emergence warning system is designed and implemented to solve thisproblem based on the related research home and abroad.The system design is as follows: when an unexpected emergency happened, such as whenambulances, fire engines or other vehicles are on duty, since these kinds of emergencies arehighly related to people’s lives and properties, the emergency vehicles can distribute their ownstatus timely and continually to the warning system, including their current locations,direction, speed and so on, so that the vehicles which located in the affected area can acquirethese information in time to divert to another route. Thereby the emergency vehicles cantravel smoothly to prevent the occurrence of loss both in people’s property and life aspects;Likewise, when natural disasters are coming, such as earthquakes, flood, tsunami, naturaldisaster control authority can distribute the disaster information, such as affected scope,disaster grade to the warning system, so that the vehicles and people that located in theaffected area can be informed in time to be prepared to minimize the loss of life and property.This paper first introduces the research background, current situation and research levelhome and abroad of this topic, discusses the problems focused and related technologies.Secondly, the components and corresponding functions of this system are decided byanalyzing the requirement modularly, which clearly shows the system architecture. Thenanalyze, design and implement each component of this system. Finally, test, install, and applythe system to actual scenarios.Currently, there is no existing emergency warning system functioned in this way. So ithas a great practical significance and application prospect. The advantage of this systemdesign is that it only needs GPS equipment to acquire precise position, speed, direction andother information, no other equipment needed, which saves trouble of considering the equipment compatibility. The implementation of this system is flexible, hardware independent,and it can put into operation without the support of governments at all levels, which makes iteasy to implement.
