The Planning And Realizing Of Core Business MIS System In BOC Insurance

The information technology revolution, which booms and has a strong andcontinuing penetration in the insurance industry, has greatly promoted the process ofinsurance information. With the factors that the further opening up of China’s insurancemarket, the gradual establishment of the mixed pattern of insurance and the acceleratedpace of financial mixed operation, the insurance industry has been developed rapidly.However, the IT investment and IT applications has not kept pace with the pace ofbusiness development. Especially in all aspects of business process automation system,customer relationship management, service website construction and InformationMonitoring, there is a huge room for improvement.Nowadays, domestic insurers are actively studying the banking industry with themanagement Idea of centralizing the working data and each link of the businessoperation. They are no longer limited to considering of the business efficiency, butbeginning to think of a new generation of integrated business processing systemplanning.In this paper, firstly the author analyzed the varieties of problems existing in Bankof China Group Insurance Company Limited (“Boc Insurance” for short), such asbusiness expansion, business spread, management coordination difficulties, etc; then,the author referenced a lot of insurance companies (both domestic and foreign) whohave the insurance system design and implementation experience, and designed acentralized core business management system for the Boc Insurance.The core business Management System related to technology theories of B/Sarchitecture, the Web three-tier architecture (presentation layer, business logic and datalayer), and technology tools of.NET development platform and SQL Server2000database.This system can realize main functions of the core business management, includinginsurance apply, insurance policy production, insurance policy modification, renewalmanagement and settlement of claims, and so on. The final goal is to increase marketing staff productivity greatly, improve customer service quality, and promote theenterprise competitiveness. So that, the Boc Insurance can implement its dream aboutstepping past the top best insurance companies in the world.
