Design And Development Of Teaching Robot Based On "Creative Star"

The robot technology is a combination of a wide range of disciplines and technology. It is an advanced technology, it relates to computers, electronics, materials, artificial intelligence, bioengineering and other vertical multi-disciplines, it has strong integrated new technology and wide application areas. With the rapid development of robot technology, robot technology has entered into various aspects of social life, especially the robot into the field of education, more attention has been paid. Robotics education has gradually enter into the primary and secondary schools, primary and secondary school actively put robotics education into classrooms teaching, so that more students learn relevant knowledge and technology of robots, however, the implementation of teaching robot must have an operational platform.This study is based on the Creative Star platform design and development of teaching robot, Creative Star is a creative platform to cultivate students’ creative ability,practical ability and interest in learning as the main target. In order to design and develop the teaching robots better, first this article has reviewed the domestic and international literature on teaching robots, then the article has understood and researched the Creative Star platform, especially in the hardware part and software part of the study and use, finally Creative Star platform with MultiFLEX2-AVR controller is the core, the CDS5500steering gear is the actuator, in the NorthStar graphical programming environment a graphical programming gives the four-legged reptile robot soul, so with obstacle avoidance function of four-legged reptile robot has moved.In this paper the design and development of teaching the robot on the one hand is conducive to learning the robot-related knowledge, it can stimulate students’ interest in learning and training innovative thinking ability and practical ability as a good platform. On the other hand, it is used as primary and secondary school students to participate in robot competitions.
