The Reconstruction Of The Archive Of Puzur-Enlil Of Ur-ⅢDynasty (Su-Sin7ⅱ/24-Ibbi-Sin2ⅹⅱ/17)

A large animal tribute center by the name of the Office of Puzris-Dagan, which is now the Drehem site in Iraq, was built by the king Sulgi of Ur III dynasty at his39th year’s dominance.The establishment of the large animal tribute has a close relationship with the rise of Ur III. As the increasing of the dynasty became stronger, more and more animal tribute coming from all over the dynasty:the king, the royal and the noble need the sacrifices to gods for blessing their power and the dynasty; the government need a lot of animals to supply the royal, the forgien messengers, or present to the people as gifts. Therefore, e-Puzrish-Dagan has been built.E-Puzris-Dagan, which was near to the religious center of Nippur and Tummal, therefore was elected as the place of the Royal Animal Center. The office of Puzris-Dagan was the biggest and Most influential animal managing center in ancient Mesopotamia, so it occupies very important position in the economic management system of Ur III dynasty, and Also has a profound and far-reaching effects on the ancient Euphrates and Tigris. So the documents which were excavated in Drehem become very important historical materials to study administrative agricultural economy religious diplomatic history of ancient Euphrates and Tigris.The Drehem Project which was rebuilt by IHAC can show the another researchers who want study this period of political and economy a completely files about E-Puzris-Dagan.The work in this paper is to reconstruct the archives of Puzur-Enlil. we didn’t fine the research published specifically for this official yet. At present. There are175texts regarding his activities were excavated in Drehem. This paper is divided into two parts:In the first part, the paper introduces profession, job category of Puzur-Enlil, who were relevant to him and the use of these animal which were withdrawn from Puzur-Enlil. Part tow reconstructed the archive of Ahu-Wer according to the chronological order, and presented Sumerian transliterations, English translations and Chinese translations.As the files show us, the work time of Puzur-Enlil was from AS6ii/1to IS2xii/17, we did not certain know about his profession, perhaps he is a officer of high position. The most of work was take over the animals for sacrifice, or for the royal and messengers as food. The work time of Puzur-Enlil is the strongest time of dynasty as the same time, so the files provide a lots of informations about political, economy, religion, foreign Affairs.
