As the function of and the quality demands of the mechanical products areincreasing and the complexity degree of the product design becomes more and morehigh, the product design further tends to rely on the cooperative work of multipledisciplines experts. In view of different discipline backgrounds designers from differentdisciplines have, the various descriptions to product designs give rise to be unable tonormally share the discipline heterogeneous data and severely influences on efficienciesto the Multi-disciplinary Collaborative Design (MCD) in the process of the productdesign. The flow direction to the heterogeneous data flow, the structural heterogeneity,the associated heterogeneity(such the associated relationships as one to one, one tomany, many to one and many to many) and the semantic heterogeneity, etc., werestudied from the perspective of the multi-disciplinary collaborative design process inthis magisterial thesis, including that such several technologies of the heterogeneousdata sharing in the multi-disciplinary collaborative design process as Petri Nets, XMLand DTD, Hibernate and Ontology provided an effective solution for the heterogeneousdata sharing in the multi-disciplinary collaborative design process. The main researcheswere included as follows:(1) By analysis on the characteristics to the multi-disciplinary collaborativedesign platform, the overall framework of the MAS-based multi-disciplinarycollaborative design management system (MCDMS) was constructed and thecollaborative work heterogeneous data sharing model based on Petri Nets was studied,the concept of collaborative work heterogeneous data sharing on Petri Nets was putforward, the heterogeneous data queue to serve as the access station of collaborativework heterogeneous data sharing were utilized, and the translation and firing rule onPetri Nets in relation to heterogeneous data queue was further accounted for, which provided the support on the framework and theory for the heterogeneous data sharing inthe multi-disciplinary collaborative design process.(2) From the technologies to the heterogeneous data sharing in themulti-disciplinary collaborative design process, the work principle to the heterogeneousdata sharing on XML, the data mapping on Hibernate, the inheritance relationship, thedata filtration, the Lucene data index, the basic concept to the ontological theory, theontological heterogeneous data sharing framework, the mapping technology, etc., werediscussed, the characteristics in the field the heterogeneous data sharing in themulti-disciplinary collaborative design process is located were analyzed and compared,and the implementation model (HDS-MCDMS) on the certain level was showed. Inparticular, a similarity match algorithm based on the Euclidian Distance was shown,which was provided the OM reference for the ontology-based multi-disciplinaryheterogeneous data sharing implementation.(3) Based on researches mentioned above, the implementation of the system designand of functional modules to MCDMS from the heterogeneous data sharing in themulti-disciplinary collaborative design process were introduced, and the practicabilityand efficiency, to some extent, of the research achievement were verified by thevalidation application on the project.
