At present the technique of corrugated horn is mostly used to self-tracking antennasystem, as a result of the feed network system is provided with the characteristic ofcompact structure and the influence is small between main signal and differential signal,so the technique can be used as low-frequency feed or multi-frequency feed network.At first The description of the expressions and the character for some specialparameter points (low frequency cut-off point, the critical condition between fast-waveand slow-wave, the balanced hybrid condition,the high frequency cut-off condition, theshort circuit condition) by the analysis of the corrugated horn basic theory.Based onthis analysis, a detail discussion is presented for the condition of the dominant modeHE11and the differential modeHE21lies in the corrugated horn and the analysis of thecorrugated horn differential mode critical cut-off point,so as to correctly chose thecoupling hole position by computing. To decrease the coupling loss of the differentialmode signal, the matching betweenHE21mode in corrugated horn andTE10mode inrectangle waveguide and the matching between coupling aperture and rectanglewaveguide are took into account, according as the dimension of rectangle waveguideand the dimension of coupling aperture will be choose.as corrugated horn differentialmode coupling by magnetic field, the transmission line combination of the signal ofdifferential mode are analyzed by electromagnetic right-hand helix theorem. A C-banddifferential mode coupling corrugated horn is established by making use of the Ansoftsoftware, and it is computed. The differential mode coupling corrugated horn ismanufactured and tested by emulating results. The veracity of academic analysis are beconfirmed by computing results and test results. This papers keystone are that thistheory of coupling differential mode from corrugated horn is be brought forward andthat this theory can be practiced.
