The definition of navigation is guiding a transporter from a starting point to the destination point in scheduled time, according to the scheduled plans and requirements. With the development of technology, navigation and positioning is becoming advanced technology that plays an important role on defense and military.To meet the needs of Navigation Date Processor’s micromation and high performance so as to enlarge its application field, the Navigation System design based on ARM,FPGA and DSP is researched in this paper. Firstly, this paper describes the development and status of Navigation System and Navigation Data Processor. Then, according to Navigation Data Processor’s functional requirements and performance requirements, we propose the Navigation Data Processor’s design concept and system implementations. Using DSP processors as a navigation solution calculation,and using ARM and FPGA to realize the input and output interfaces, the system performs the navigation parameters’acquisition,solution,output and interface expansion functions. And based on system implementation program, we introduce the design and the specific hardware implementation of the main control module, navigation solution module and interface expansion module of the Navigation Data Processor. Based on the hardware platform, we introduce the system software algorithms and the main program design process. Finally,the system debugging problems and their solutions is introduced.
