China’s Central Television, Provincial Satellite TV Station and City TV stationhave been competing with each other after31Provincial Satellite TV Stations senttheir signals nationwide. Operational principles and strategies for Provincial SatelliteTV Station have been changing following the change of media policy, audiencemarket and competition environment. In order to get more audience share andadvertisers’ capital, Provincial Satellite TV Station started analyzing audience’s needand promoting itself accordingly.The heat of microblog(Chinese Twitter)marketing brought new opportunities forProvincial Satellite TV Station’s promotion and marketing. The study will examineProvincial Satellite TV Station using microblog for promotion and branding, analyzethe characters of Provincial Satellite TV Station’s marketing based on microblog andmake recommendations for existing problems.The article will be divided into three parts. The first part studies the currentsituation of Provincial Satellite TV Station’s marketing based on mircoblog, includingchapter2,3,4. Chapter2analyze Provincial Satellite TV Station microblogs’content,chapter3and4analyze data of Provincial Satellite TV Station microblogs so as tofind the relation between Provincial Satellite TV Station and its microblog.The second part is chapter5which analyzes the market of Provincial SatelliteTV Station, bringing forward the necessity of marketing activities for ProvincialSatellite TV Station.The third part is chapter6which makes recommendations for the existingproblems of Provincial Satellite TV Station’s marketing based on microblog.
