Abstract/Summary:
There are a lot of selected activities in colleges and universities daily work. But the traditional way of voting has some shortcomings, for example, in the organization, distribute ballot papers, ballot papers and statistics gathered during the vote requires a lot of manpower, financial and material resources, traditional voting methods can’t meet the needs of colleges and universities now. With the popularity of the campus network and the rapid development of various schools of management systems continue to improve, step by step into the scientific, information technology and standardized management of age. Using the campus network platform, we can achieve online voting system with the computer and network technology. This will not only save a lot of resources, but also improve the efficiency of management personnel. Also, you can reduce the errors caused by human factors, so that selection activities to an open, fair and just results.Design and implementation of this lightweight JAVA EE based on online voting system colleges and universities, the system can be divided into foreground and background sub-subsystem, select the front subsystem to provide users with features such as voting and online voting, the background for the management of major subsystems provide create a poll, find voting, remove the ballot vote and a series of management functions, in line with the actual needs of college-line vote, which could well apply to the actual application environment. Design and implementation of this lightweight JAVA EE based on online voting system colleges and universities. With Eclipse (IDE tools), Tomcat5.5(Web container), MySQL5.0(database) and Struts2, Hibernate3and Spring2development package to develop the system. Followed in accordance with the needs analysis, design, detailed design, system implementation described in the online voting system development process. The first part of the requirement analysis, based on the user’s specific needs, using UML case diagram to the way the business needs of the user research and analysis. Part of the overall design and then presented the objectives and principles of system design, and system architecture, database, security architecture and other aspects of design. Finally, some of the detailed design and implementation, based on Struts2, Spring and Hibernate integration of lightweight JAVA EE framework S2SH, respectively, from the domain model layer, business layer and persistence layer, presentation layer design and implementation of systems, where in the presentation layer using Struts2, responsible for the page display, front-end control, forwarding requests and other tasks, and the Validation with the Struts2validation mechanism for the input function; in the business layer using Spring managed bean, including the use of factory pattern to create bean, with the Service Locator pattern The definition for bean with Inversion of Control IoC mechanism assembly bean, and through Spring’s AOP, using the Acegi security measures for the system, etc.; the persistence layer using Hibernate, DAO pattern package using the underlying operating, using its object-relational mapping mechanism ORM, object-oriented approach to operating the database. Other management services through the Spring, Hibernate managed by the cache, and further optimize the system performance. But also the use of Log4j log management tools to facilitate system debugging and development; the use of JUnit for unit testing tools to ensure that the system can be properly deployed and running.College online voting system uses open-source framework S2SH, has a good multi-architecture, can greatly reduce system development costs, shorten development cycles and reduce system development risk, optimize the overall system structure, improve system performance, the system has a good loose coupling, scalability, maintainability and reliability, and testing convenience.
