Design And Implementation Of Library Management System Based On JSP

Nowadays, it is an age with rapid development of information, and the computers have been widely used in the information management system. The usage of computers can not only improve the work efficiency well, but also develop its safety greatly.Using the traditional manual management of library data, the data need to be addressed numerous and very difficult to find and modify the information is also very timely shortcomings. We give an example, during the traditional manual way, library management, suppose a person wants to borrow the book, he first needs to register at the library, including the name of the book, publishers, information he needs, and then the book, the librarian query, of course, the query process is very slow and not accurate, you need to borrow people a long time, assuming that this book, it is checked out and the library staff to register lead, assuming that no is coming again. From this process, we found many problems. Therefore, in the traditional library management system, there is lack of systemative and canonical information management methods.Based on this, in this study a library management system based on JSP was designed and implemented. The system is designed based on B/S structure, including two aspects:the developing of the front-end application programs, and the building and maintenance of the background database. For the former, the application programs are requested to have perfect function and be easy to use; for the later, it is requested to build database with high consistency, integrity and better security. In the front-end application programs, Java programming language and JSP active webpage technology are used. Because Web applications developed based on JSP technology have cross-platform characteristic, our designed library management system can be run both on Linux platform and other operating systems. In the stage of the system’s overall design, firstly, analyze the function needs of the system; secondly, design function for each module, give the detailed description of functions and handling process for the main modules, such as book inquiring, loan management, library management, borrowing cards and readers rule management, and so on; thirdly, design database, mainly design the data Sheets in the query interface of books and personal information for readers and the management interface for administrator; finally, design the system development model, use MVC model to develop the system based on JSP Model1and architecture JSP Model2architecture, it not only has simple features of Model1, but also has scalability and high adaptability of Model2at some extent. In the phase of the system’s detailed design and implementation, the user query module, loan management module and library management are detailed designed, and give the system results.By using this system, the process of books searching and management can be simplified. The books can be managed just using the computer terminal, which greatly reduces the work intensity of the librarians, raises the books usage efficiency, accelerate the speed of information processing, and makes the book management become more standardization, systematization and programmed.
