Audiovisual archives refer to that state organs,social organizations and individuals record their activities in social practice by multimedia equipment and save them in the form of pictures,audio and video.With the advance of social development and multimedia technology,more and more people choose to record their life and work by multimedia.State organs and enterprises are more willing to record their important meetings & activities through advanced multimedia equipment as historical evidence of their own unit and enterprise development as well as important material for external publicity.Audiovisual archives are quite different from traditional paper files.The former records voice and image of people's activities more intuitively,besides,they are made of light-sensitive and magnetic materials with higher requirements on the storage environment.Audiovisual materials have close links with paper archives.Audiovisual materials of an event or meeting are often accompanied by paper materials like written records and technical drawings,etc.So how to effectively manage the vast amount of audiovisual archives? It has been bothering file clerks of every company and organization.Nowadays,informationization is more and more popular.It's a way to deal with the problem to use a system to manage the huge amount of audiovisual archives of a unit or company.The thesis takes design and implementation of audiovisual archives management system as the research object,introduces the current situation of audiovisual archives management in organizations,analyzes the demand of studying audiovisual archives management system,then conducts the general design,detailed design,test and operation of the system based on the analysis,Such as object-oriented analysis,function modeling,data modeling,using UML modeling tools,etc.designs and develops the audiovisual archives management system combining with the scientific method of software engineering.The audiovisual archives management system mainly includes demand analysis of the system,design of function flow of audiovisual archives management,functional design of user roles,Borrowing using functional design and database,as well as test and operation of the system before put into use.In the end,the thesis summarizes the scientific method of software engineering,providing great working mode and rich experience for developing software of the same type in the future.
