This paper aims to introduce high reliable and performance small astrionicstropical crystal oscillator which provide high-powered clock signal to improve thesystem and the whole Satellite’s performance. Small volume and weight has essentialsence for satellite application.The tropical crystal oscillator in the paper provide the most common standard10megahertz sine wave.The electro circuit principle was introduced focusing on tropical crystal oscillator’scomposing and key technic. This paper comes from a real satellite applicationrequirement.The Low noise, highly precise temperature controlling and high reliability are thekey breakthrough on satellite application. ADS (Advanced Design System) was used tosimulate the circuit for optimizing design and improve work efficiency. Two principlesamples we made have a better performance of short-term stability than1×10-12/s and alow phase noise which comes to-108dBc/Hz@1Hz、-145dBc/Hz@100Hz、-160dBc/Hz@100kHz. The frequency-temperature stability were also improved tobetter than±1×10-8by simplifying the tropical temperature tank.Testing data was present and tropical crystal oscillator’s performance was verifiedby doing environmental test. All the requirements were meet and some performancefactors reached the congener products’ from overseas.The project made a foundation for further research and provides a way tobreakthrough civil astrionics bottleneck.
