Research And Implementation Of Automatic Testing Tool For3G Data Card In Linux

With the continuous development and maturity of the third generation cellular mobile communication system(3G), the demand of the quality and functions of3G data card is increased gradually. In the design of3G data card, testing is an essential step. In order to satisfy the increasing requirement, the task and rules of testing for3G data card have been increased to a certain extent. Accordingly, to improve the efficiency and precision of testing, it is very necessary to develop an automatic testing tool which replaces manual testing for3G data card.In this paper, the theory of software testing and automatic testing is introduced firstly. It consists of the definition, purpose and content of testing. Meanwhile the automatic testing for3G data card is introduced based on the theory above. And the environment which is used to design and implement the automatic testing tool is build. Next, entire frame and process of automatic testing tool for3G data card are designed. Then, the user interface and testing function of the3G data card is given. The configure information, system information and functional module of3G data card are implemented. Finally, the plan, case and script of testing are compiled according to the automatic testing tool. Then, the testing script is executed and the testing result is shown clearly. At present the automatic testing tool has been put into practical use in the design and testing for3G data card and the reaction is good.
