A major drawback of the widely used orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology is its high PAPR (Peak-To-Average Power Ratio, PAPR) value of time domain signals, which leads to low efficiency of transmitter power and nonlinear distortion. Based on the analysis of semidefinite programming method of reducing PAPR values of OFDM signal, a fast solving algorithm for the semidefinite programming and its FPGA implementation are involved in this thesis. The main contents are as follows:1. Based on the introduction of the principles, parameters and key techniques of OFDM signals, the effect of the high PAPR problem on communication systems is analyzed in the thesis.2. Based on the introduction of traditional methods for suppressing PAPR values of OFDM signals, the fast solving algorithm for PAPR reduction semidefinite programming is analyzed and validated through MATLAB simulation.3. Based on the analysis of the fast solving algorithm for the semidefinite programming, its FPGA kernel algorithm is implemented through Verilog language and is verified through Modelsim. The tested results show the correctness of the FPGA implementation.
