The communication of Wireless sensor networks relies on the data transmittedamong sensors, nodes failure will seriously degrade the network performance. However, due to the characteristic of complex and wicked work environment and the restrictedcost of single sensor, the sensor failure is inevitable. Therefore, an effective topologycontrol or routing strategy, answerable for the sensor failure, has great significance onimproving the overall network performance. The major study on WSNs fault-tolerantand survivability focuses on redundancy and complex network theory.Considering the application of wireless sensor networks and practicalcharacteristics, two strategies of improving the survivability and fault-tolerant of WSNsare proposed.1. Topology evolution of wireless sensor networks based on fitness and local world. On the conditions that sensor nodes distribute uniformity and dense, Network topologygrows into a kind of scale-free network topology in accordance with the "growth","connection""disappear" behavior of nodes and edges. Simulation shows that thisstrategy improves the network ability against the random node failure.2. Cooperation forwarding routing strategy based on randomly walk backup inwireless sensors networks: data backup is achieved by the data randomly walk betweensensor nodes, which reduces the probability of data lost caused by node failure. Data istransmitted to sink by cooperation forwarding, taking full advantage of thecharacteristics of wireless communications and broadcasting to reduce redundantcommunication traffic generated by data backup.
