With the development of computer technology,the machine vision technology,which has advantages of non-contact and indefatigability comparing with traditional detection by people,can reduce the detection cost,strongly raise the efficiency of production,effectively ensure the quality of products,and raise value added of products.lt has been used widely in the field of industrial online detection.On flaw detection,because of its complicated mechanism of production for flaws,flaws are versatile.Therefore,there are still many problems to be studied and resolved so as to apply the machine vision technology more widely and successfully.Based on the related literature and technology applications of the metal defect detection,the principle and approach of the minitype metal parts detection is studied by taking minitype metal workpiece as an example.Then,an detection system based machine vision algorithm is developed,which applies high-resolution plane array CCD camera device and has complete configuration and function of software and hardware.According to the characteristics of defects in this topic,this paper designs the hardware and software solutions of machine vision defect detecting system,and does the hardware and software composition describe in detail.Several image processing algorithms is introduced to meet the requirements of machine system.Then, through the deep study of threshold segmentation algorithm, a new method called the improved Otsu is proposed for this system.And based on the analysis of commonly used template matching algorithms, the template matching new technology of IMAQ Vision is focused on to achieve automatic positioning of image templates.And also surface targets are counted and their features are extracted to judge the quality of workpieces.On the hardware side, the appropriate cameras and frame grabbers are selected.Through the analysis and comparison of Commonly used lighting method,LED light source is selected.Finally, implemented a set of machine vision inspection system based on LabVIEW platform and NI Vision Development Module.
