As an important means of tax collection and management, tax-control equipment has become a necessary device ensuring national normal taxation and interests of taxpayers, completing all the aspects of taxation after nearly a century of development. With the emergence and networking of a variety of tax-control equipments, data security is getting more attention by the tax collection authority. At present, data security of tax-control devices mainly relies on cryptographic algorithms to encryption and authentication. However, most tax-control equipments are based on the microcontroller and embedded device, whose data processing capabilities is limited, appear powerless for storing and encrypting the large amounts of data. In this paper, we choose two commonly used cipher code algorithms on embedded platforms as example, to search methods for both high efficiency and optimal allocation of storage resources, in order to meet the data-encryption needs of tax-control equipment.Firstly, we introduce the development and application of the fiscal cash register which is on the current mainstream. Secondly, data security and security strategy of the tax-control equipment is analyzed. Thirdly, the MD5and AES encryption algorithm and its application in the tax control equipment and problems are introduced. Fourthly, analyze the demand for building platform on embedded simulation system, and complete hardware and software system design. Finally, simulate the algorithm and the improved implementation code on embedded system, then analyze the results.
