Abstract/Summary:
Geographical information system(GIS) can integrate various advanced informationtechnology(such as remote sensing technology), so it can meet the needs of informationdiversity in real-word. As an important source of geographical information, imagesobtained through remote sensing technology is applied in GIS more and more.Therefore the application and study of remote sensing images is very significant ingeographic information system development.Based on a two-dimensional GIS service system, this paper mainly researches avariety of GIS applications using remote sensing images. In this paper, three types ofremote sensing images are used: DEM, remote sensing classification maps, satelliteremote sensing image.(1) Using Global Mapper to process DEM data, it can produce shaded relief image,which reflects the topography of region;(2) Because the format of remote sensing classification maps is grid, we canconvert it into vector electronic map. This paper uses the algorithm based on topologicalvector relationship, and solves the complex topological relations of remote sensingimage using the method of reconstructing topology;(3) Using image mosaicing technique, we can merge multi-chip satellite remotesensing images to a whole slice of satellite imagery. Firstly,we use gray image matchingalgorithm, and add the edge information. Secondly, we deal with the seam which isappeared during mosaicing. We use an algorithm based on the overlapping images, andcorrect the mosaic width L forcefully.
