Real-time database is one of the core components of Distributed ControlSystem(DCS), which determines the overall system functionality and performance. It isso efficiency of search algorithm that is particularly important for real-time database.The paper introduces the characteristics of real-time database firstly. Then it bringsup an improved Distributed Control System HASH algorithm fitted for the field ofindustrial control through analysis of several typical HASH algorithms. Improvedinterface design makes more consistent with the features of large amounts of data whichneed to periodically search. It has been re-designed the storage structure of data pointand access way in real-time database according to the use of relevance for the items ofdata point. And it takes some introduction for the events in real-time databaseprocessing also.The test has been performed in the real project and laboratory. It is found theimproved HASH algorithm from large amounts of data is more adaptive, more efficientfor the string in industrial control systems. it will save time both for registering andsearching.
